You can't learn dog grooming in a hurry.

Dog grooming is an unregulated industry. Technically, almost anyone can call themselves a dog groomer.

We think your training should mean more than that.

Our Pet Stylist students complete 12 weeks of structured theory online and 20 days of hands-on training, grooming around 35 dogs across different breeds, coats, behaviours and styling requirements.

There are shorter courses out there. We offer one ourselves, for people who already have handling experience.

But if you're starting from scratch and want to become a professional groomer, we believe you need time to learn, practise, make mistakes, ask questions and build confidence with experienced groomers beside you.

Small classes. Lots of dogs. Proper support.

With just 2–4 students per class, you won't spend your training watching from the sidelines.

You'll learn handling and behaviour, bathing and drying, coat preparation, clipping, scissoring and styling, while developing the judgement to work safely and kindly with the individual dog in front of you.

Dog Diversity has been training groomers in Melbourne for more than 25 years.

We also deliver the PIAA-endorsed igroomschool Industry Certification pathway, so your learning can continue as your skills and career grow.
